Rolling Walkers and Basic Walkers

If you become tired when walking longer distances or have a condition that impairs your balance, gait or leg strength, or are recovering from an injury or surgery, a mobility aid is an ideal solution to help you get around. Yorhom carries both walker and rollator options.

A walker is a frame with handles and legs that need to be lifted for movement, whereas a rollator has wheels and is pushed. A walker allows for a slower pace, while a rollator has wheels (three or four) and hand-operated brakes and may have a seat to use when resting. A walker is ideal for someone who cannot bear weight on one or both legs as the result of a surgery or hip replacement but is mobile enough to not need a wheelchair. A rollator is best for those who are able to walk but need a little help with their stability and balance. Rollators conserve energy as they don’t need to be lifted.

Take a look at our walker and rollator options below or contact us if you have questions or need help finding the right mobility device. We also offer canes and crutches if you’re looking for something different.
